What’s In My Makeup Bag

I always love to see what others are carrying around in their makeup bags.  As a woman, of course I am always looking for the best products for my skin.  Most of the time, I try to choose products that are cruelty free and also free of all of the toxic chemicals.  I still have some favorites floating around in my bag that I haven’t quite been able to replace yet, but for the most part I try to keep it as clean as possible.  In this weeks post, I am sharing What’s In My Makeup Bag and why they are my must have products for 2019.  Read on to see what I am using as my daily go to products.

Before I jump into What’s Inside My Makeup Bag, I wanted to mention that my makeup collection of course is much more extensive than this, but this is my go to, everyday products that I use for day to day applications.  Just a few of my favorites that I have found work very well for a nice natural look.

Arbonne Lifting & Contouring Eye Cream

My under eye area always seems to look a bit tired and dehydrated and I tend to have dark circles around my eyes.  For this reason, I always make sure to use an eye cream.  One of my favorites right now is the Arbonne RE9 Advanced Lifting and Contouring Eye Cream.  I actually use a lot of the Arbonne skincare because I really enjoy the clean ingredients paired with the excellent results for beautiful skin.

As I get older, I am noticing that the lines and wrinkles are creeping up, so I tend to put more focus these days on investing in quality skincare and that seems to be more effective than using a bunch of makeup.  I find I get better results this way.  That being said, the eye cream is a staple item in my makeup bag as it forces me to remember to put it on before my foundation.  To see more about this product click HERE.

R & F Radient Defense Perfecting Liquid

I have a favorite foundation, but in all honesty I tend to have a love hate relationship with full coverage foundation.  I love the coverage that full coverage foundation provides, especially because I have rosacea and it really helps to conceal that.  When I do use foundation, I reach for the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in the color sand.  But what about those days when I really just want to throw on a tinted moisturizer and be out the door.  A salon client of mine recently gifted me a sample of the Rodan And Fields Radiant Defense Perfecting Liquid and while I was a little hesitant because I already have my favorites, I decided to give it a try.  To my surprise I was very, very pleased with this “tinted moisturizer”.  I should also note, that since I started using this, I have sort of ditched my regular foundation for this gem.

It is formulated with dermatology-inspired skincare ingredients to deliver a radiant, healthy-looking complexion in six flexible shades, and I will tell you this really holds true.  It is recommended to use as the last step of your skincare routine to protect and perfect the glowing skin you’ve earned.  I am not a consultant for Rodan & Fields, but I wanted to share a link to my clients page so that you can check it out if you are interested in it.  If your a tinted moisturizer lover you will really love this.  The extra bonus is that it has a broad spectrum SPF of 30, so you’re being protected at the same time.  To check it out, click HERE and type Dermacosmetics in the search bar.

Honest Beauty Creme Cheek Blush

I am a new fan of honest beauty and quite frankly love how convenient it is to get.  You can actually pick up some of their items right at target.  When I ordered, I did it online but it came super fast.  My newest obsession is the Creme Cheek Blush, I love that it is a creme instead of a powder as I feel like powder blush tends to look fake, and I prefer more of a glow.  The color I use is the Coral Peach and it gives a beautiful soft coral glow to the apples of the cheeks.

Bobbi Brown Corrector Concealer

I have talked about this product in my stories before, but it really is the best for covering and hiding dark circles which I seem to suffer from.  I use the peach toned corrector to cancel out the dark circles, and the concealer duo in natural.  I promise this will become your new favorite way to conceal.  Check it out HERE.

Fenty Diamond Bomb

This 3D highlighter has become my biggest obsession this year.  While it’s stunning in all areas you would add highlight, I tend to love it on my eyelids.  It’s a subtle but sparkle effect, and just makes the eyes glow.  I love that it is a cream rather than a powder, but that is just my preference.  You will definitely need to check this one out HERE.

Chanel Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner

I tend to venture out and try other brands of eyeliner, but it seems I always end up right back here with my Chanel Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner.  The fact that it’s waterproof eliminates it from smudging during the day as I wear it, so that is a big bonus.  But even more than that, I actually like the color of it, sometimes black eyeliners can look blue or grey and I really just like a true black.  A little “V” on the upper and lower outer corner of the eye is perfect for day time.

Honest Beauty Extreme Length Mascara + Primer

Another pick for the clean ingredients factor is the Honest Beauty Extreme length Mascara + Primer.  I do have some other favorites as well when it comes to mascara, but right now this has been a new love for me.  The primer really helps to plump the lashes and provide even more coverage and fullness out of the mascara.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel

I used to use a brow pencil, but these days I’m looking for the easiest options when it comes to makeup.  Of course I go with the brow master herself and use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel.  It really does a great job of filling in your brows, and if your over 40, you know that as you get older the brows definitely start to thin out.  The brow gel is a good transition also if you haven’t been using anything on your brows at all.  This will allow you to start filling in your brows without feeling like you took a sharpie pen to them.  On top of all that, the products are cruelty free which is always an added bonus.

Buxom Cosmetics Power Pump Lip Balm

I bought this on a whim at Sephora one day and it turned out to be a staple item in my makeup bag.  Your pout gets a seductive kiss with this big, bold, plumping lip treatment – available in 3 Spring inspired shades.  I’m always a skeptic when it comes to plumping products but this one actually does work.  I also love how it self adjusts to provide a flattering custom shade of pink to match your skin tone.  Check it out HERE.
