We all get excited for Summer break from school. As parents, you get a little break from the routine of having to get the kids up and ready and getting them off to school on time. This is a nice break for parents, but inevitably, two weeks into the summer break, what’s the first thing you hear? “I’m bored”!!! Am i right? Those dreadful words. For many, summer camps are a great option for keeping the kiddos active and free from boredom, but what about when you have to keep them at home? In today’s blog post, I’m sharing some Summer Boredom Busters For Kids, for both indoor and outdoor activities. Check out these fun filled opportunities for keeping the kids boredom free.

Movie’s In The Yard

$129.99

During quarantine last year we purchased one of these movies in the yard sets and it really cured the boredom. The kids can invite over some friends, make some popcorn and pick up some candy and they will love watching their favorite movies. It can also be used to play their video games on a big screen. This is fun for the whole family. HERE is a link to the one we have.

Herb Garden Garden Set

$49.99

While the weather is nice, it’s a good time to let your little ones have some fun with gardening. When I started my garden, my niece Presley wanted to help and be part of the entire process. She helped plant everything, water it and trim and prune. So this is a fun little project for them to have that they will have to check in on daily to keep them busy. Tie Dye Kits

$29.99

These Tie Dye kits are fun for the kiddos. Grab some old white shirts you have laying around the house and let them have some fun outside creating whatever they want. Be sure to lay down some plastic to protect your ground, or have them do it in the grass. This kit includes options for them to create any colors they want. Linking the Tie Dye Set HERE.

Ninja Warrior Line Obstacle Kit

$109.99

What I love about these obstacle courses is they are not only doing something fun, but they are getting in some exercise at the same time. I’m adding the link to this one HERE.

Painting Kit

$46.99

This painting kit can be used outdoors, but also if you are dealing with a rainy day, it can also be used indoors with some protection. Let the little artist shine. Have them pick a painting tutorial from YouTube and they can follow along with that step by step. Linking this kit HERE.

Terrarium Kit

$15.00

Incorporate some educational fun by having them create their own terrarium. They will build their terrarium from scratch themselves, keeping them busy for a while. Linked HERE.

Crystal Growing Kit

$17.99

How fun does this little science kit look? It’s a crystal growing kit. Another great activity that will have them checking back daily to see how things are coming along. It teaches them not only to create something, but how to take care of it as well. Linking this one HERE.

DIY Wooden Wireless Remote Control Car

This is a fun one for the boys! It’s allows them to build their own remote control car. It’s wood, so if you have paint left from the paint set, you can have them also paint it whatever color they want. This will definitely keep the boys busy for hours!!!! The reward at the end, more hours of staying busy because now they will want to play with it. Linking this one HERE.

Bracelet Making Kit

This is a fun one for the girls, they can invite over some friends and they can make bracelets together. This kit is pretty big, we have purchased this for my niece Presley before and she loves it. There are beads with letters so they can make messages on the bracelets as well. Linking our favorite kit HERE.

This is a really good start for keeping them busy. I have found on days when I am watching my niece Presley, that if we have lots of things and projects for her to work on, she stays busy and we hear less of her complaining that she’s bored. Give these a try, but I definitely feel like the combination of both crafts and activities is a good combination. Also, some of these are great for stuck in the house rainy days. What are some of your favorite indoor and outdoor kids activities? Let me know in the comments.
